Scientific schools

There is a scientific school at the Metal Physics Department in the field of Materials Science which was formed in 1952 and works till present time: “Diffusion formation of gradient states of spatial-composite nature in micro- and nano-sized layers, development of technically relevant functional gradient materials based on it” or “Diffusion formation of gradient states in micro- and nano-scale Layers, development of technically relevant functional stacks and nanomaterials based on it” (The founder of the scientific school is Acad. V.N. Grydnyev, current head of the scientific school is Prof. S.I. Sidorenko).
